Create Your Own Fan Fiction Archive

eFiction is a free and open source script that allows for anyone to easily create their very own single or multi-author fan fiction archival site, just like FanFiction.net or Archive Of Our Own.

Wide Host Compatibility

eFiction works across a wide range of web hosts, and is fairly easy to install. All you need is a modern version of PHP and MySQL, and you’re good to go. It’s super light on system resources, so virtually any shared provider will be able to host your eFiction archive! If you need help picking one, check out our Hosts page!

Community

eFiction is supported largely by our helpful community! If you ever need any help with anything, or have any questions, or if you simply wish to say hello, feel free to post onto our community forums!

Documentation

We’re working on providing updated documentation for 2021 and beyond. We want for everything to be as easy and accessible as possible, for everyone.

Customization

eFiction is entirely open source, which means each and every line of code is available for you to customize or alter in any way that you want! eFiction is the framework that puts you in control!

Future Updates

We will be updating eFiction to include tons of new features, services, and functions. Stay tuned to our News section for the latest on eFiction development!

Good news

Good news. We have found someone who will continue our vision of the future of eFiction. So you can breathe easy and look forward to a worthy successor.

New Forum Software

Dear Community, as you have surely noticed, we have switched to a brand new forum software to make it easier for us and our possible successor team. The SMF Forum was spammed to a degree that we could hardly manage. I was searching for a long time, thought about different options and finally found the…

More About eFiction

eFiction was one of the first fan fiction archival scripts on the internet, and we remain one of the only open source automated archives available today. We provide all writers with the ability to host their own fiction in their own way. A true archive, controlled by you, the author.  Don’t rely on someone else to host your archive, instead, host it yourself with eFiction!
